The Friends of Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center: Nurture Hope, Empower People & Creating a Community in Action
The Friends of IB Neighborhood Center is an association of individuals who volunteer their time and/or donate to the Center as it expands to serve the community. Friends of the IB Neighborhood Center Volunteers opportunities include: volunteering with Monthly Food Distribution, gathering clothing/supply donations from friends and neighbors and delivering to IBNC, volunteering for the Food Pantry and working with the Community Garden. You can sign up to volunteer or simply donate to their Charity. Or consider donating monthly to become an ongoing Sponsor.
The Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center is a 501(C)(3) Nonprofit Organization.

The Friends' mission is realized through a three-fold approach:
1. **Promotion of IBNC**: The Friends play an instrumental role in raising awareness about the IBNC's diverse programs and community outreach initiatives. By sharing valuable information, they ensure that the center's services reach those who can benefit the most.
2. **Fundraising for Ongoing Programs**: Through their fundraising endeavors, the Friends provide crucial support to sustain and expand the IBNC's programs. By contributing resources, they help foster a stronger and healthier community for all.
3. **Volunteer Recruitment and Membership**: The Friends actively encourage individuals to join the IBNC's programs as volunteers and become official members of the Friends of IBNC. By fostering an engaged volunteer network, they empower the community to actively participate in driving positive change.
The Programs and Projects of the Friends of IBNC encompass a wide range of activities:
- ❤️ They organize and facilitate meetings featuring informative programs that educate and inspire community members.
- 🧡 Major fundraising initiatives are planned and executed to ensure the ongoing success of the IBNC's programs.
- 💛 The Friends provide valuable support to the IBNC's Food Pantry, Saturday Shower Program, Community Garden, and Mass Food Distribution efforts.

- 🩵 Advocacy efforts are undertaken to assist and uplift community members in need.
