On average, 2,500 individuals per month receive food.
Homegrown produce supplements our daily food pantry shelves.
Over 100 housing challenged individuals served through the Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center's Saturday program offering showers, clothing, hygiene kits, and sack lunches.

Our History
The concept of the Center emerged from the outreach programs of the Imperial Beach United Methodist Church that was incorporated in 1948. With a diminishing membership, the church closed in 2018. John Griffin-Atil who served as pastor of the church from 1993-99, and 2013-2018, founded the nonprofit organization, The Imperial Beach Neigh
The concept of the Center emerged from the outreach programs of the Imperial Beach United Methodist Church that was incorporated in 1948. With a diminishing membership, the church closed in 2018. John Griffin-Atil who served as pastor of the church from 1993-99, and 2013-2018, founded the nonprofit organization, The Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center with the blessing of the California-Pacific Conference of The United Methodist Church. Today, the Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center attends to the South Bay beach community by providing the necessary services to those in need while also focusing on the empowerment and well-being of the community.
